THE COMEBACK KID

Novak’s Goat is back and more versatile than ever. The Goat 3S Crawler Brushless/Brush ESC (#3214) is one of the few crawling-specific, sensored speed controls available. It has the ability to run on either two or three-cell Li-Po batteries, which the speed control automatically detects through Novak’s auto-detect software. This feature allows users to run a wider range of batteries and bestows the Goat 3S with even more power than the original 2S Li-Po Goat Crawler ESC (#3219). Additionally, one of its three profiles is specific for worm-drive vehicles – such as Losi’s® 1/10-Scale Comp Crawler Race Roller™ and Kyosho’s® Rock Force 2.2™ – which do not require electronic drag brakes.

NEW FASTER CRAWLING MOTOR

Novak, once again, confirms its position as one of the forerunners in crawling technology by releasing the first crawler-specific 13-turn brushless motor: the Crawler 13.5T Brushless Motor (#3414). Though crawler motors have, typically, higher turn counts, Novak’s quick 13.5-turn crawler motor has many advantages. Firstly, the faster speed is ideal for rock racing, where not only agility but speed plays a large part in these events. The Crawler 13.5 motor is also a perfect complement to Losi’s® new 1/10-Scale Comp Crawler Race Roller™, and it’s ideally compatible with Novak’s new Goat 3S Crawler Brushless/Brush ESC (#3214) when using a 2S Li-Po pack and Novak’s original 2S Li-Po Goat Crawler ESC (#3219).

NEW NOVAK GRADED TUNING ROTORS

Novak’s new 1,300+ Graded Sintered Tuning Rotors – 12.3mm (#S5952) are magnetized with Novak's sophisticated magnetizing machine, which boosts the rotor's grade to 1,300+. These ultra magnetized rotors are graded about 50-100 points higher than traditionally magnetized rotors, according to popular magnetic strengh meters, such as Zubak's Speed Meter 2™. Additionally, the rotor’s magnetic material provides a high temperature threshold, enhancing its durability. Its higher magnetic field also increases the motor’s overall power, natural drag braking and improves its acceleration response.

The 1300+ Graded Sintered Tuning Rotor is compatible with all of Novak’s 540-sized brushless motors, include the Ballistic, Velociti and SS Pro series'.

HAVOC 3S MEETS BALLISTIC 8.5

When Novak couples a high-caliber speed control with a blisteringly fast brushless motor, you get one affordable high-speed system, also known as the Havoc 3S/Ballistic 8.5 (5,000 Kv) Brushless System (#3039). The Havoc 3S Brushless/Brush ESC has the ability to run on either two or three-cell Li-Po batteries, which the speed control automatically detects through Novak’s auto-detect Li-Po software. The energetic Ballistic 8.5 Brushless Motor also contains many new features, such as an easy-to-adjust timing assembly that alters the RPM range and a completely rebuildable design.

CAN YOU DIG IT?

Novak's The Dig: Electronic Dig Unit for Dual System Crawlers (#5450) is a one-of-a-kind, easy-to-use unit that allows crawlers to independently control the front, rear or both speed controls in dual-system rigs. Powering only the front or rear on a rock-crawler vehicle – commonly referred to as a “dig” – allows for tighter turns, precise maneuverability through tricky terrain, and more control on steep inclines and downhill descents, reducing the amount of reverses needed to clear obstacles.

NEW SINTERED ROTORS AND GEARS

Novak expanded its line of rotors with the addition of the Crawler Tuning Rotor – 14mm (#5950) (pictured left), which is compatible with Novak’s 18.5-turn (#3419) and 21.5-turn (#3420) Crawler Brushless Motors, and HV Sintered Tuning Rotor with 5mm Shaft – 14mm (#5951), which is compatible with Novak’s HV Brushless Motors (#3524-#3527).

To take advantage of the lower Kv generated by the new HV rotor, Novak is also releasing four new 5mm Mod 1 Steel Pinion Gears 17T-20T (#5111-#5114).

BRUSHLESS HAS GONE BALLISTIC

Novak's brushless motor line has evolved once more to produce one of the most sophisticated motor series ever to power an R/C car. The Ballistic Brushless Motor series – which consists of six different motor turns: 3.5T - 8.5T (#3603 - #3608) – is the result of many years of developing and manufacturing sensored brushless motors, and includes many new features to prove it. This next-generation motor series contains a new, easy-to-adjust timing assembly that alters the RPM range; includes heavy-duty solder tabs that are strong enough to endure repeated soldering and tough crashes; and boasts a removable shielded sensor harness, which ensures a long-racing life. But the innovations don’t end there. The Ballistic motors’ original design also features interchangeable wound stator construction, which provides multiple motor wind options. Additionally, the sensor assembly can be replaced upon crash or unknown damage. And like all Novak racing motors, these brushless motors are blisteringly fast, reaching speeds that will effortlessly satisfy any racer or basher.

NOVAK'S MONGOOSE CONQUERS MORE TERRITORY

Bred from the Goat Crawler Brushless System but sized the same as the Mongoose Micro Systems, Novak’s Mongoose Crawler Micro Brushless System – 18.5T (#3055) is the first micro sensor-based system specifically designed for 1/18-scale crawler vehicles. The fully-programmable Mongoose Crawler System includes all of the features found in the Goat System, such as  instant throttle response, super low-speed drivability and explosive torque, but also includes the ability to run on two or three-cell Li-Po batteries, which the speed control automatically detects through Novak’s auto detect software. Though the micro-sized system packs a lot of power, it fits perfectly in Losi’s® Mini Rock Crawler™, giving users the edge in crawling competitions.

A MORE POWERFUL HAVOC

Novak has added a new speed control to the growing line of Havoc products with the powerful Havoc 3S Brushless/Brush ESC (#1733). Based on the Havoc Sport ESC, the Havoc 3S has the ability to run on either two or three-cell Li-Po batteries, which the speed control automatically detects through Novak’s auto-detect software. This feature allows users to run a wider range of batteries and – for the speed-hungry racers – bestows the Havoc 3S with even more speed than the original 2S Li-Po Havoc Sport ESC. Additionally, the Havoc 3S contains one of the strongest BECs for sport applications and includes nine adjustable parameters to fine-tune brake and throttle response.
